South Ottawa Mustangs

We are looking to expand all our football programs by fielding teams in each of these divisions:
  • Tyke (8 - 9 years) Born in 2014 or 2015
  • Mosquito (10 - 11 years) Born in 2012 or 2013
  • Peewee (12 - 13 years) Born in 2010 or 2011
  • Bantam (14 - 15 years) Born in 2008 or 2009

FLAG FOOTBALL

The season runs from early May to the end of June.  All teams will practice at least twice a week (Monday and Wednesday) and play game in either the open division on Saturdays or the girls division on Sundays.

TACKLE FOOTBALL

The season runs from the first week of July into early November.  All teams practice three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings), and play games on the weekend.  The Tykes and Mosquitos will drop down to two practices (Monday and Wednesday) and a game per week once school begins.

CHEER SQUAD

The season runs from the first week of July into early November.  The squad will practice three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings), and perform on the weekend.  The squad may drop down to two practices (Monday and Wednesday) and a performance per week once school begins.

2023 SEASON FEES

  • Flag football fee is $150 + Football Ontario and Canada membership.
  • Tackle football fee is $375 + Football Ontario and Canada membership 
  • Cheer squad fee is $175 + Football Ontario membership

MUSTANGS TERRITORY

You must reside in our territory to play for the South Ottawa Mustangs or have been released by your home football club.

The current South Ottawa Mustangs boundary is as follows:

From Highway 417, south along the Rideau River to Hunt Club, east to Bank St. then North on Bank St to the CNR rail line. East on the rail line to the 417 at the Walkley interchange; north and then west on the 417 to the Rideau River. (shown as maroon on the map)

The South Ottawa Mustangs also share a registration boundary with two other clubs:

East of Bronson (and Dow's Lake) to the Vanier Parkway, north of McArthur Ave, extending further east to St Laurent Boulevard and bounded on the north by the Ottawa River.  (shown as green on the map)
