The Mustangs have been part of the South Ottawa community for more than six decades. The club offers flag and tackle football programs for male and female participants from ages 5 to 19 and volunteer opportunities for people of all ages. A team of dedicated volunteers work closely with local organizations and businesses so all members of the community are afforded the opportunity to participate in amateur sports.
In 2025 over 25 volunteers helped put on the programs at the the South Ottawa Mustangs. Through their collective efforts over 350 hours of programming involving over 300 participants in 5 different programs across 9 months of the year. Our volunteers also helped Football Ontario host the 2025 Canadian Collegiate Women's Flag Challenger in November.
The South Ottawa Mustangs are a member of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) who’s mission is to foster and encourage participation by boys and girls up to age 18 in organized amateur football using the core values of Fair Play, Team Work, Discipline, Education, and Participation.
